Two new cheque scanners have been included in the product range of scanning devices supported by CubeIQ's cheque processing application that boost flexibility and productivity.

The first scanner, manufacturer by Rototype, model DAB6000, is a low cost, advanced features, desktop cheques (and other banking documents) reader scanner with small footprint, front/rear scanner, feeder, endorser, stamp, and two pockets sorter. Done of the diversified features of DAB6000 are on board OCR/MIC engine , image compression and LAN - 10/100 Ethernet port making the device a network cheque reader scanner. This last feature enables the device to be shared between multiple teller applications (or cheque processing application); an attribute that decreases the in-branch cheque processing cost without compromising any of the high performance characteristics of the device

The second scanner, manufacturer by CTS Electronics, model LS100/IP, is a low cost, web enable, desktop cheques reader scanner. LS100/IP is the most compact check scanner in the market for teller and remote deposit capture applications. Some of the distinctive features of LS100/IP are 10/100 Ethernet network connectivity, full IP address, fixed or by DHCP, Net Mask and Gateway configuration capability, SSL for secure data transmission, on board Black & White image conversion and historical data and statistics as HTML pages. Device sharing and device reassignment to another workstation become very easy tasks making LS100/IP  the ideal cheque scanning device for today's modern branch architectures based on thin clients and web based solutions.
