Interaction Between Carat Modules |

CaratPOS™
and CaratDUP™
|
|
|
A
very important aspect of CaratDUP™ is its
interaction with other Carat applications
in real-time mode. For example if a 571 SWIFT
message is received it will be directly routed
to CaratPOS™ (Software for the reconciliation of
statements of holding). This process is very
advantageous because it allows to perform the
reconciliation immediately. It is important to
note that all the message transfers can be done
without any additional installation or any other
exportation option in SWIFT Alliance Access. |

CaratFEX™
and CaratNOS™
|
|
|
As
an example of enhanced integration, CaratFEX™
interfaces perfectly with CaratNOS™ to provide
more precise information on the cash aspect of a
CaratFEX™ operation. CaratFEX™ uses the reference
and the amount of a confirmation to check if it
finds a corresponding entry in CaratNOS™. If so
it displays it in the fields “we buy and we
sell” in colors depending on their status.
This allows the back-office to clear the deal
knowing the transfers are done. The integration
of these two applications provides the user with
many advantages. First of all it is very time
saving because the deal is closed and there is
no longer a need for follow up. Secondly, when
the user is in CaratFEX™, he may see directly on
the screen the status of the transaction. |

CaratPOS™
and CaratSEC™
|
|
|
An
essential advantage of CaratPOS™ is its full
integration with other Carat products,
and more particularly with CaratSEC™. This allows
performance of cross - interrogations in order to
verify and justify any differences that might
have arisen between monthly security positions
(processed by CaratPOS™) and daily security
transactions (processed by CaratSEC™). |

CaratNOS™
and CaratARC™
|
|
|
When
used with other software modules of the Carat
family, CaratARC™ becomes even more efficient.
For instance, with CaratNOS™, our Nostro
Reconciliation System, it permits to see
directly all messages related to the transaction
referred to by the data found in the statements.
For a given period around the value date and for
a given type of transaction, it searches all
messages for which the amount is within the
given range, and all messages for which a
reference corresponds; finally, it searches
those for which amounts and references matches.

you the full message as on the following page. |
