		Unique Technology: The most cost effective way to convert your mechanical meters for AMR (Automated Meter Reading) has finally arrived, and the conversion takes just seconds! At last it is now possible to introduce AMR infrastructure without having to jettison current, proven mechanical technology. Just snap the installation- ready Xemtec Comet module onto any electricity, gas or water meter, and you have a smart communicating device offering a variety of system interfaces (e.g. low-power RF, GSM / GPRS, M-Bus, etc). This has been made possible through Xemtec‘s unique OCR Retina technology, the only solution on the market able to achieve this breakthrough.

		Optical reader technology: The Comet module, based on highly integrated OCR Retina technology (Xemtec’s latest Retina chipset), reads the meter index, stores the data and transmits it over any communication network, wire or wireless. Xemtec’s unique OCR Retina technology integrates advanced image processing into the sensor chip. The technology results in increased reliability and robustness while dramatically reducing power consumption and overall product cost.

		Fast, secure and reliable mounting and reading: Once the Comet module is snapped onto the meter it will automatically read the consumption, store the readings at defined intervals if necessary and transmits them over wire or wireless lines to the utility network.
