Automated Bill Payment System is a solution for the automation of bill payments. 

The solution consist of specialized, ATM like, terminals with fast document scanner, bar-code reader OCR reader and a bank note acceptor and validation device. The terminals can be configured to work stand-alone or on-line to the Bank’s host system. 

In addition to a typical bill payment system, the strong OCR (optical character recognition), ICR (intelligent character recognition) and IWR (intelligent word recognition) capabilities of the terminal’s software application give the ability to the system to process also documents in non-standard format, like pro-forma invoices or invoices as long as the beneficiary party has printed on the document his IBAN. 

The terminals are installed at branch level, where the Bank’s customers access the system using their ATM card.
