Automated Cheque Deposit System is a solution for the automation of cheque deposits. 

The solution consist of specialized, ATM like, terminals with fast document scanner and an OCR (optical character recognition), ICR (intelligent character recognition) and IWR (intelligent word recognition) capable software application.

The terminals can be configured to work in stand-alone mode or on-line to the Bank’s host system. They are installed at branch level, where the Bank’s customers using their ATM card can access the system in order to deposit their cheques. 

The system validates the cheques; create an electronic transaction to the Bank’s host system; and prints out a receipt to the customer with the transaction details, the total amount and photocopies of the deposited cheques.
